Cameron County's most wanted arrested in Nicaragua

One of Cameron County’s most wanted was arrested in Nicaragua by deputy U.S. Marshals, said a press release by Carmeron County DA’s Office. Information regarding the date or the city in Nicaragua where the arrest took place was not available at press time.

Deniss Wayne Capps, 55, is wanted in Cameron County on the charge of capital murder for the slaying of 46-year-old Brian Arnold Aldrich on June 10, 2006.

Cameron County Park Rangers discovered Aldrich’s body outside his mobile home just north of Beach Access No. 5 on South Padre Island.

In early December 2006, Capps was arrested by Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers in Sonora County and later transported to Cameron County to face a capital murder charge in Aldrich’s killing.

Capps was released from a county jail in June 2007 after posting a $100,000 bond and has not been heard from.

In October 2007 he failed to appear for a court hearing in the 107

th State District Court, DA’s office said. Soon after he was placed on Cameron County’s list of 10 most wanted criminals
