Book signing at museum on Saturday

A book signing with Carl Chilton, author of, “History of the Gladys Porter Zoo,” will take place on Saturdayat 2 p.m. The event is free to the public and will be held inside the Brownsville Heritage Museum located at 1325 E. Washington St. For more information, please call 541-5560.

Vintage postcards on display

The Brownsville Heritage Complex invites the public to view Wish You Were Here: Brownsville Postcards from the BHA Permanent Collection, which features vintage postcards with scenes of recreation, historical buildings and life in Brownsville. The exhibit will be on display in the Stillman House Apartment at 1325 E. Washington St. through July 30, 2007, during regular museum hours. Cost to view the exhibit is included with the price of admission: $4 for adults, $2 for children. For more information, please call 541-5560.

Ghost hunting program begins Friday

The Brownsville Heritage Association’s Junior Ghost Hunting Summer Program will be offered to children ages 8 to 15. The one-day program will be presented this Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided for participants. Cost for the program is $20 per participant for members. Non-member participant cost is $30 each. For more information, please contact the BHA located on 1325 E. Washington St., or call 541-5560.
