Man arrested for public lewdness in park
Brownsville police arrested a man accused of public lewdness in a park while looking at children, officials said.
Terry Michael Fullen, 53, was arrested Friday morning at the 1200 block of Cottonwood Circle and later charged with public lewdness, said police spokesman Sgt. Jimmy Manrrique.
The arrest took place when a police officer responded to a call regarding a naked man at the park wearing only a hat and dark sunglasses, Manrrique said.
An officer found a clothed Fullen, who aside from the clothed part, fit the description of the man, the spokesman said. Manrrique added that Fullen was not a stranger to the officer, who had already warned him to stay away from a nearby school.
"He had been warned by the officer to stay away from St. Mary’s Catholic school where he would stare at the students," Manrrique said.
The officer asked Fullen if he had been undressed at the park.
According to the police report, "subject stated he did take his clothes off ... "
