Please, Joe, say it ain't so

Say it ain’t so, Joe Rodriguez. Please say all this “borlote” being brought up against you is not true, let it be just chisme.
It’s got to be, Joe.
Your record cannot be blemished and should not be blemished like this. Not after your long and distinguished career as an educator, coach and athletic director of the largest school district in South Texas.
Your name should not be dragged through the mud like this, Joe.
Joe, a lot of us through Cummings and later the old Brownsville High School remember with fondness your kindness and dedication to us when we were just kids.
And now we still see you with respect and we still love you for all that you did for us when we were growing up.
For all the good advice, the good academic help, the great moral leadership, for all of this we all say, say it ain’t so, Joe.
I know I am not alone in wishing you a successful and happy retirement and pray that all these “borlotes” will be straightened up and go away.
You deserve this, Joe.
We are on your side and are praying for you.

Message for Horn’s killer
Editor:
Please publish this message in hopes Barry’s murderer reads the paper.
Because you have taken Barry Horn,
your heart is blackened tar,
your eyes no longer see light,
your mind forever haunts you,
your life is wasted,
hellish and hated.
You no longer belong on earth.
